I have decided to create a Wilson Baseball Glove commercial. I like the Wilson Baseball Glove brand for many reasons. I feel that they create their gloves with better quality. I also feel that it is easier to make plays with Wilson baseball gloves. In these commercials, the audience would usually see people doing something that has to do with baseball. Such as practice or a game.

  • We will be wearing costumes such as baseball cleats or turf shoes, shorts or baseball pants, and T-shirts. These would be the particular clothes you would see people practicing baseball in.
  • Props will include two baseball gloves. One of the Wilson brand. The other glove will be from a different brand. This will show the audience the difference between both gloves.
  • The score of the commercial is fast-paced and is meant to persuade the audience that the Wilson Baseball Glove brand is better than other baseball glove brands.





  1.  Convention and codes in Wilson Baseball Gloves commercial will be the Wilson logo ( the big W) added with the word WILSON on the side and the name of the exact model of the baseball glove. The name of the model is important because it shows exactly what we are showing in this commercial. The logo and brand name is also important because it makes the glove more rememberable. 
  2. In this commercial, the props are usually angled to show the product, logo, and how well the product is. This is so that more people will buy this product. These commercials or advertisements are usually shown at baseball stores, baseball games or tournaments, or shown on TV during a baseball game.
  3. This commercial uses ethos to show that there is confidence in the delivery of how well Wilson baseball gloves are. This commercial also uses ethos by getting MLB players to advertise the glove in the commercials. This shows that even pros use these gloves.

Production Blog final task

    Many of the filming processes have been disrupted for about a week. We're also trying to find out when we'll be able to restart the filming. We're hoping to do it this week during peak daylight hours. To reshoot the entire movie's opening sequence. After reviewing the footage from the previous attempt, we decided to tweak a few minor details. To make the actress stand out more to the audience, we will change her outfit to a lighter choice. For the actress and the specifics to be more lit up, I'll change the lighting to natural light. The camera angles would also be altered to better accommodate the actress's gestures. The setting will be altered to create a more dreamlike atmosphere. I'll also be working on the character's dialogue.

Name: Joshua Turk 1.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?       When I was filming my commercial, I wanted to make it seem as realistic as possible. I planned on doing it at a baseball field with great weather conditions. Unfortunately, I could not because the weather was not cooperating and the field was flooded. So I resolved to my backup plan. I filmed in a grass field area with a bit of rain.
