Introduction

    Hi, my name is Josh, some of the classes I take Aice Media, Journalism, and Spanish 3. I take all of these classes because I have different interests in all of these classes. My interest in my Spanish class is to learn Spanish to be able to communicate with people who are not very fluent in English. I take Aice Media to learn stuff about the media every day in our lives. So if I enjoy it I can pursue a career in it. I also take journalism because I want to be able to take very good photos. I always loved taking pictures. One of the hobbies that I do is that I play baseball. I play for my school but I also play travel ball away from my school. I enjoy baseball very much. One of the reasons I enjoy baseball because I see it a lot more as a mental game and not a physical one. One of my goals is to get a scholarship because of baseball. Some other things I like to do is play video games. Usually, during my free time, I am playing a video game. During quarantine, the game I was playing the most was NBA 2K. Other things I like to do are to hang out with friends. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus, I could not see many of my friends because I was trying not to get sick. Hopefully, once we are allowed to go to school again I could see my friends. I have a couple of goals for this year. I am trying to accomplish great grades. I am also trying to do as well in baseball as possible. Hopefully, I can accomplish these goals by the end of the school year.

Production Blog final task

    Many of the filming processes have been disrupted for about a week. We're also trying to find out when we'll be able to restart the filming. We're hoping to do it this week during peak daylight hours. To reshoot the entire movie's opening sequence. After reviewing the footage from the previous attempt, we decided to tweak a few minor details. To make the actress stand out more to the audience, we will change her outfit to a lighter choice. For the actress and the specifics to be more lit up, I'll change the lighting to natural light. The camera angles would also be altered to better accommodate the actress's gestures. The setting will be altered to create a more dreamlike atmosphere. I'll also be working on the character's dialogue.

AICE Commercial Reflection questions

Name: Joshua Turk 1.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?       When I was filming my commercial, I wanted to make it seem as realistic as possible. I planned on doing it at a baseball field with great weather conditions. Unfortunately, I could not because the weather was not cooperating and the field was flooded. So I resolved to my backup plan. I filmed in a grass field area with a bit of rain. I believe it still looked good even though it would have been better if it was on an actual field. 2.  How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?      My project engages with the audience by showing and advertising the product to the viewers.
