Title research "Adrift"

 It opens with a troubling scene of disorientation. A young woman wakes up in the cabin of a flooded, foundering boat, with blood on her face. Realizing something pretty bad has happened, she begins to scream for someone named Richard. It starts with a black screen, which transitions to be the camera submerged underwater. The first thing you see the dark inside of a boat with the female unconscious No titles were displayed during the opening sequence, to give more attention to the intensity of the scene. The female was prioritized in this scene. With the scene set with dark lighting, she was clothed in a bright yellow raincoat to draw attention to her. The film establishes a feeling of the romance genre from the dialogue. With the female just being in a terrible storm, she wakes up and looks for a man named Richard. Dark lighting is not a common lighting technique for romance movies, however, this helped give the audience an intense feeling throughout this scene.

Production Blog final task

    Many of the filming processes have been disrupted for about a week. We're also trying to find out when we'll be able to restart the filming. We're hoping to do it this week during peak daylight hours. To reshoot the entire movie's opening sequence. After reviewing the footage from the previous attempt, we decided to tweak a few minor details. To make the actress stand out more to the audience, we will change her outfit to a lighter choice. For the actress and the specifics to be more lit up, I'll change the lighting to natural light. The camera angles would also be altered to better accommodate the actress's gestures. The setting will be altered to create a more dreamlike atmosphere. I'll also be working on the character's dialogue.

Name: Joshua Turk 1.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?       When I was filming my commercial, I wanted to make it seem as realistic as possible. I planned on doing it at a baseball field with great weather conditions. Unfortunately, I could not because the weather was not cooperating and the field was flooded. So I resolved to my backup plan. I filmed in a grass field area with a bit of rain. I believe it still looked good even though it would have been better if it was on an actual field. 2.  How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?      My project engages with the audience by showing and advertising the product to the viewers.
